Overview:
We are seeking a highly collaborative Salesforce Business Analyst with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies to support the successful delivery of Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud) solutions. This role is central to bridging business needs with technical execution, with a focus on iterative delivery, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment and bring a proactive, solution-oriented approach to driving digital transformation through the Salesforce platform. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, D.C., requiring on-site work three days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • The Business Analyst will act as a key Agile team member, contributing to all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • They will translate business objectives into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria to guide development and QA teams.
  • The role involves working closely with product owners and stakeholders to groom and prioritize backlogs based on evolving business needs and sprint capacity.
  • The analyst will map business processes and identify automation opportunities within Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
  • They will facilitate working sessions and workshops to gather requirements, define MVP scope, and ensure alignment on expected outcomes.
  • The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, UX designers, and testers to validate and deliver solutions iteratively.
  • They will support UAT planning and execution, ensuring delivered functionality meets business expectations.
  • This role also includes maintaining detailed documentation of business processes, configurations, and functionality as part of sprint deliverables.
  • The analyst is expected to contribute to continuous improvement of Agile practices across the project or program.
  • They will stay up to date on Salesforce platform capabilities, especially within Service Cloud and Experience Cloud, to advise on scalable solution options.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a federal background investigation.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a Business Analyst on Agile teams, preferably in a Salesforce environment.
  • They should demonstrate a proven ability to write clear, actionable user stories and manage backlogs using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Experience Cloud implementations is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong facilitation skills with experience leading sprint ceremonies and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required, along with the ability to engage both technical teams and business users.
  • Familiarity with Agile metrics, velocity tracking, and iterative delivery best practices is also expected.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst Certification is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal clients or working in regulated industries is strongly desired.
  • Additional preferred experience includes exposure to Omni-Channel, Case Management, Knowledge, or Customer Portals.
  • An understanding of Salesforce data models, roles, profiles, and security best practices is helpful.
  • Experience in change management
