Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Copado Release Manager to support a federal government contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, and Copado while demonstrating expertise in Service Cloud and Salesforce Public Sector Solutions. The role requires hands-on technical proficiency and strategic leadership in release management, ensuring efficient and secure delivery of Salesforce applications within a government environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Release Management & CI/CD:

  • Lead and optimize Copado-based release management and CI/CD pipeline automation for Salesforce environments.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for version control, branching strategies, and release governance in a multi-org Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Manage deployment schedules and coordinate releases across multiple teams, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Salesforce DevOps & Governance:

  • Implement Salesforce DevOps best practices to enhance development workflows, testing automation, and deployment efficiency.
  • Maintain security and compliance standards required for federal systems, aligning with FedRAMP and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, and administrators to improve automation and efficiency in development lifecycles.

Service Cloud & Public Sector Solutions Support:

  • Ensure seamless deployment and configuration of Salesforce Service Cloud features tailored to government use cases.
  • Support the implementation of Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, ensuring scalability and compliance with federal mandates.
  • Troubleshoot release-related issues and work closely with developers and stakeholders to resolve conflicts.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Work closely with federal agencies, business analysts, and technical teams to align release cycles with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to release processes, deployment scripts, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Provide guidance on Copado best practices, including version control, metadata management, and test automation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Salesforce Release Management, DevOps, or related roles.
  • Proven expertise with Copado and Salesforce CI/CD tools for automated deployments.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, package-based development, and sandbox management.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and Service Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or other version control systems in a Salesforce DevOps environment.
  • Knowledge of API integrations, Apex, and Lightning Web Components to support deployment automation.
  • Experience working in federal environments, with a strong understanding of compliance and security requirements.
  • Salesforce certifications (active and verifiable in Trailhead), such as:
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II
    • Salesforce Certified DevOps Specialist (preferred)
    • Copado Certified Release Manager (preferred)

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background and credit check to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen (mandatory for federal contract work).
  • Must be willing to accept W2 employment (no C2C or 1099).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Salesforce implementations for federal agencies or public sector organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce security best practices, data governance, and compliance policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex release cycles in a highly regulated environment.
